Mindfulness Reflections is run by me, Rennie, in Singapore. A calm tool should be calm about your data, too. Here is the plain version.

What you type

The feelings and context you enter are sent to an AI provider to generate a reflection, and briefly cached to keep the service fast and affordable. I do not ask for your name, and I do not build a profile of you.

Reflections you share

When you create a share link, the reflection text is stored so the link can display it, and it automatically expires after about 90 days. Shared pages are not indexed by search engines.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address and the date you signed up are stored so I can send you an occasional note when a new guide or tool goes up. It is not shared, sold, or used for anything else. To be removed, reply to any email or write to hello@mindfulness-reflections.com and I will delete it.

Rate limiting

To keep usage fair, I count requests using a short-lived, approximate identifier derived from your network connection. It is used only to apply daily limits, not to track you across the web.

Analytics

I use two analytics tools to understand which pages are read and whether the site is working well:

  • Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you.
  • Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to measure visits, such as pages viewed, time on page, device type, and approximate country. I see this only as aggregated reports. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads, which helps keep it free. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet, and to measure how ads perform. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.

You can learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center, or opt out of some third-party vendors' personalised ads at aboutads.info.

Cookie consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google's consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) asks for your choice before personalised ads or non-essential cookies are used. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the privacy and cookie settings link shown on the page.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because I do not ask for your name or build a profile, I hold very little that identifies you. Where data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) apply, you still have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data I hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local regulator.

I do not sell personal information. To make any request, email me at the address below and I will respond within the timeframe your local law requires.
